In this interview, broken into three parts, Will Richardson further explains what he means when he talks about connective writing.

It part 1, Will defines connective writing and talks about what makes it, in his words, “different” from other writing that might happen in school.

In part two, Will talks about what connective writing looked like in his high school language arts classroom and whether or not connective writing is “good” writing.

In part three, Will talks about the “serendipity” of connective writing, its unplanned nature, as well as how one becomes a teacher of connective writing.
