Creative Commons (and copyright): What Every Educator Needs to Know

Written by Elyse Eidman-Aadahl

In this presentation, Rodd Lucier discusses copyright and creative commons.  Developed for K12 Online Conference 2010, Lucier originally intended the presentation for educators, but then crafted it so that it could be shared with students as well — or any creative individual. And indeed, the simple and straightforward explanation would be suitable for young people as well as educators.

This classroom-suitable style also marks a short e-document called Creative Commons in the Classroom that Lucier, along with several other authors, created and published through a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 license.  Find a link to the PDF for classroom printing below.
