Jump Frog, Jump
Jump Frog, Jump was a book my mother read to my older brothers. I was four years old and they were six and seven years old. Of course, being the youngest sibling, I wanted to do whatever my older siblings did. So, I would always beg my mom to read the book to me, but she would always say it was my brothers’ book and I had to ask their permission. Of course, being the loving brothers they are, they said no. Finally, my brothers outgrew the book and gave the book to me. Once my brothers gave me the book, I had my mother read it to me every night. I literally mean every night. I memorized the book word for word. This book is what made me think I could read and sparked my interest in reading.
