Literary Fanzine Part 4

Next, we read Treasure Island. Knowing that some of the students were not thrilled with poetry assignments, I decided to have them do an “attention to details” assignment:

Using the information in the book, draw a map of Treasure Island, OR illustrate a favorite scene from the book.

They were to use the descriptions from the text to create these maps or illustrations. As you can see, they did a great job! The maps all look very similar, which tells me they paid attention to all the many details in the book.
