Digital Learning Day - NWP Joins National Partners in Celebrating Innovative Teaching and Learning Through Digital Media and Technology

Building upon a growing movement to leverage digital tools to support Connected Learning, the National Writing Project is participating in the third national Digital Learning Day. An effort of the Alliance for Excellent Education, Digital Learning Day links together a wide range of states, organizations, and corporate partners to call attention to the powerful work going on in districts, classrooms, and out-of-school programs where educators and their students are making thoughtful use of digital tools.

Digital Learning Day is a nationwide celebration of innovative teachers and common-sense, effective applications of digital learning in America’s schools that support teachers, improve learning, and provide options for students to achieve at their highest potential.

NWP and Digital Learning Day

The National Writing Project has several initiatives to support Connected Learning and digital writing, including Digital Is , a website that collects ideas, reflections, and stories about what it means to teach writing in our digital, interconnected world; and the Educator Innovator network , a growing community of educators, partners, and supporters, who are re-imagining learning in the 21st century.

How to Get Involved offers customized resources for all audiences, grades, and subjects to help them think about how they can contribute to the campaign. Teachers, principals, students, leaders, parents, and communities are invited to visit this website to register to receive toolkits, resources, and invitations to events and activities prior to February 5.

Additionally, all interested educators and Writing Project sites are invited to join in the fun and celebrate Digital Learning Day with their own activities and events. Let us know if you have any plans for Digital Learning Day by completing this short form.
