Blog, Discuss, Create and Share @ NWP Annual Meeting 2011

Conferences aren’t just live events anymore, so we invite you to use Digital Is as well as Web 2.0 tools to connect to the upcoming NWP Annual Meeting, November 17 & 18, 2011.

In the NWP network, we know that writing in its many forms is the signature means of communication in the 21st century. And as members of Digital Is, we know you agree that teaching and learning in a digital world are a key component of the work as well. NWP’s Annual Meeting is a great opportunity for in-person time designed to facilitate strategic thinking and planning opportunities for writing project sites. Whether you are attending the Annual Meeting or following from afar, we hope you’ll use Digital Is as a place to share and discuss your experiences and learn together. We would love to learn with you too!

Two sessions will support thinking about Digital Is specifically, including:

  • Thursday’s Digital Is: Supporting Teacher and Site Development led by Ken Martin, Maine Writing Project and Kim Douillard, San Diego Writing Project
  • Friday’s Digital Is Content “Dig” led by Katherine Frank, Southern Colorado Writing Project and Peggy Marconi, Oregon Writing Project at OU.

Content from these session will be posted here. Note, when sharing resources you think are relevant to supporting discussions at the NWP Annual Meeting as well as to tap into what is going on there, be sure to add or follow the hashtag #nwpam11.

Additionally, now and beyond the Annual Meeting, we also encourage you to follow the new NWP Digital Is twitter account at @NWPDigital_Is.
