As an administrator for Etowah County Schools in Gadsden, Alabama,  I currently supervise Curriculum, Continuous Improvement, and Engilsh Learners.  I previously supervised Instructional Technology, Library Media, and 21st Century Professional Development. For fifteen years prior to district administration, I taught language arts, grades 6-12.  I was Nationally Board Certfied in 2000 (Early Adolescence Language Arts), and I renewed my certification in 2010.   Perhaps my proudest achievement occured in 1997, when I participated in JSU's Writing Project Summer Institute.  I have been active with NWP ever since, as both a Teacher Consultant and co-director of the site.
