About

My name is Casey Goodson, and I teach 10th, 11th, and 12th grade ELA at Fordham High School for the Arts. My courses consist of Pre-AP Language, AP Language, Journalism, and Creative Writing. I graduated from Sam Houston State with a BA in English Literature and minors in both Spanish and Creative Writing. After completing my bachelor’s degree, I moved to Southern California and earned an MFA in Creative Writing with concentrations in Poetry and English Literature. After grad school, I taught at a community college in Southern California for a year before joining TFA and moving to the east coast. I currently commute from Connecticut to FHSA and grad school at Fordham's Lincoln Center campus. My personal interests consist of all forms of literature, environmental preservation, outdoor recreation, and nostalgia for a time in my life when napping was a possibility.
