I am currently the Technology Liaison at the UCLA Writing Project, the co-chair of the NWP Technology Liaison Network's Leadership Team, a researcher in the Exploring Computer Science program in UCLA's Institute for Democracy, Education and Access, an adjunct assistant professor at USC's Masters of Arts in Teaching program and a doctoral student in UCLA Graduate School of Education's Urban Schooling Division. Previously, I was a founding English, Social Studies and Media Arts teacher at Life Academy High School in East Oakland, California. My experience there taught me what an ideal urban teaching experience focused on interdisciplinary, project-based learning can look like. It also taught me the importance of genuine care and love with your students and what it means to truly walk in the company of the people you serve.
