I just finished my tenth year of teaching! I have taught 8th, 9th, 11th, and 12th grade ELA, AP Language and Literature, and this past year (thanks, pandemic!) kindergarten through 2nd grade! I am the Oklahoma State Writing Project Summer Institute Director for 2021 and have served as a College, Career, and Community Writers Program teacher consultant for the past five years. I also adjunct for Oklahoma State University as a professor of Methods in Teaching English and Educational Technology. In my free time (ha!), I serve as an educational technology specialist and run a small curriculum design and instructional coaching company, Adventures with Mrs. Anderson. One of my joys is serving on the board and as the professional development chair of Operation Engagement, a nonprofit that provides teachers with free classroom transformation kits and PD (more on that later!). I have been married to Reverend Kyle Anderson, pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Stillwater, for thirteen years. Together we have a six-year-old son named Kaden, an almost two-year-old daughter named Rowan, a dog (Wheaten Terrier) named Gwen, a ball python named Ralph, and a new bunny named Bubbles!
